SUNDERLAND are about to swoop for Spain striker Daniel Guiza, according to reports.
Several newspapers reckon that Roy Keane will bid £10m for the Real Mallorca star, who replaced scorer Fernando Torres on 78 minutes of the Euro 2008 final on Sunday.
Guiza notched 27 goals in La Liga last season.
That tally put him top of the Spanish scoring charts alongside Valencia hitman David Villa. But while nine of Villa's strikes came from the penalty spot, all of Guiza's goals were from open play.
Manchester City and Spurs are also interested in the 27-year-old, who has reportedly caught the eye of Barcelona and Roma.
The Spanish star looked set to join Turkish side Fenerbahce, but his agent put the move on ice after several clubs expressed an interest.
Guiza's wage demands of £40,000 per week are not thought be a problem to Sunderland, who are set to spend big this summer.
