Pools fans have their say
HARTLEPOOL United fans have their say on the sudden departures from the club.
CHRIS HENDERSON, a 44-year-old machine operator from Clavering, said: "It was the right time for a change at Pools.
"I think they brought Chris Turner in the second time because of what he did in his first spell, and he just didn't deliver this time round.
"I think they should give Mick Wadsworth a go because he knows the club and the players."
MARK COULSON, a 33-year-old forklift truck driver from Rift House, said: "The club seem happy to just drift along and they need to show some ambition.
"I'm surprised they got rid of Turner because he was the sort of guy who fitted in with that attitude.
"I think that we should never have got rid of Neale Cooper, he was one of the best managers we ever had."
PETER HARKER, a 23-year-old security guard from Dyke House, said: "Chris Turner, he wasn't the best. We started losing under him a few years ago and I stopped going to the football.
"We need to get a decent manager in and some decent players because it would be good to start going to the Vic again!"
ALAN HOLTOM, 25, from Rift House, who is an assistant manager at Burger King, said: "I thought he did alright and I'm a bit surprised he's gone.
"I hope they bring in somebody capable in his place though. A big name would be nice but it's got to be somebody affordable."
CHRISTOPHER AINSLEY, a 20-year-old student from West View, said: "I do think it was the right time for him to go.
"We need someone new and someone who will be dedicated to the cause.
"I thought Chris Turner did alright up to a point, but it all went a bit sour for him in the last couple of seasons."
