Delays on Metro due to 'passenger illness'
Commuters on the Metro system are facing delays after a passenger was taken ill this morning.
Bosses say there are delays of up to 20 minutes between the South Shields and St James' stations.
The service tweeted: "We currently have delays of up to 20 minutes to services between South Shields - St James due to two trains held at different stations following passenger illness.
"Sorry for the disruption to your journey."
