New faces in new places

GOOD news has been coming thick and fast for staff at North East commercial law firm, Muckle LLP.

It has promoted three of its team in a move to recognise their "capability and expertise".

Kevin Turnbull has been promoted to partner within the Dispute Resolution Group.

He joined Muckle in 2004 as an associate after completing his training at Eversheds.

He has previously been involved in a number of high profile cases including the Bloody Sunday and the Harold Shipman inquiries.

Catherine Lamb and Jennifer Quayle have both been promoted to the role of associate in the Commercial team and Private Client Group respectively.

Catherine specialises in a wide range of commercial, intellectual property and technology legal rights issues, while Jennifer will now take responsibility for the day to day running of the Private Client Group.

Hugh Welch, senior partner at Muckle LLP, said: "The promotions are great news and a reflection of the hard work, growing expertise and enthusiasm for service excellence of all involved."

A RECRUITMENT agency has added a new consultant to its North East team.

Nigel Wright Recruitment has welcomed Jenna Burton joins the North East Interim Finance division.

After graduating with a degree in European Business, Jenna joined the Graduate Trainee Programme within Rentokil Initial, where she held a number of roles, including Regional Operations Manager for the Tesco facilities contract in Northern Ireland.

After returning to the North East, Jenna joined Ceuta Healthcare selling P&G products to the pharmacy channel, before moving into recruitment.

A TEESSIDE accountants has taken on three experts to tackle issues surrounding tax and accountancy.

Stockton-based firm, Anderson Barrowcliff, has taken on tax expert, Mhairi Charlton as a Tees Valley representatives.

Mhairi, who joins the team as senior tax manager, worked as a chartered accountant for a firm at the heart of the City of London's financial district and as a chartered tax advisor for international firm, Ernst and Young.

Her appointment coincides with an expansion of the firm's payroll and accounts department.

Two new members of staff have been taken on to increase capacity. They are Jeanette Muir and Jean Springett.
