A WOMAN who claims she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted has been accused of making it up.
The 23-year-old, from Billingham, has told how taxi driver Mohammed Saddique collected her and a friend after the two women had a night out in Middlesbrough.

After dropping off her friend, she said Saddique took a deliberate wrong turn and drove h
er to Seaton Carew and during the journey put his hand down her top three times.

Saddique, 29, of Crescent Road, Middlesbrough, was later charged with three offences of sexual touching and kidnap on September 18 last year and is on trial at Teesside Crown Court.

The court has heard details of the alleged incidents but under cross examination yesterday, the woman was accused of inventing the indecent assaults.

John Gillette, representing Saddique, said: "This never happened. I suggest you made it up."

The victim maintained that the indecency did happen and that she had made a secret silent phone call to a male friend to try to alert him as to where she was.

The woman was later found by the friend wandering distressed at the Wolviston services near the A19.

The court has heard how the driver for Binks Taxis, of Billingham, had allegedly said "I hear you are up for anything" when he picked her up earlier that night to take the two women to Middlesbrough.

The court heard that despite the comment making her feel uncomfortable, she arranged for him to come back and collect them at the end of the night.

Saddique denies kidnap and three charges of sexual touching.
The trial continues.
