A MAGICAL musical romance is this week's fairytale story for Mail 2's Our Special Day.
Cupid's arrow struck in an Army music band for David Hull and Michelle Causton.

The pair both play the clarinet in the Army air corps and that's where Hartlepool-born Michelle, 26, first met the love of her life for the first time in 2003.

The romance soon developed and it was in 2006 that Michelle and David, 38, got engaged. It was the stuff of movies.

Michelle, who now lives in Tidworth, in Wiltshire, remembers: "I joined the band when I was 19 and we got together a year later."

The romance soon developed and it was in 2006 that Michelle and David, 38, got engaged. It was the stuff of movies.

The pair were in London for a weekend in which they had seen Les Miserables and enjoyed a romantic meal.

"Dave had booked us on the London Eye. While we were on it, he got down on one knee and said 'will you do me the honour of making me the happiest man in the world'."

It was an immediate yes from Michelle who admitted "there were plenty of tears".

Michelle was born and grew up in Hartlepool. She lived in Ivanhoe Crescent and later in Clarkson Court and went to school at St Teresa's Primary and English Martyrs.

After the engagement, it was all systems go in making plans for their wedding, which was held at Holy Trinity Church, in Seaton Carew.

The couple set a day for their big day straight away and booked holidays so they could enjoy a honeymoon straight after the most important day in their lives.

The wedding was held last August and Michelle admitted: "It poured down but that did not spoil anything.

"The day was brilliant apart from the weather."

The musical pair walked down the aisle to the strains of the Trumpet Voluntary performed by members of the Army Air Corps Band.

They signed the register to Pie Jesu.

After the wedding, the couple enjoyed a reception at the Staincliffe Hotel, also in Seaton Carew, where their first dance was to the Celine Dion hit Because You Love Me.

The best man for the day was David's brother, Stuart Hull, while the bridesmaids were Jennifer Blanchard, Danielle Harvey, Stacey Lynch and Emily Hutchinson.

The three flower girls were Chloe Lynch, Libby Hull and Bethany Causton.
David's son, Thomas Hull, was one of two ushers along with Andrew Causton.

After the wedding, the couple enjoyed a fantastic honeymoon in Florida where highlights included swimming with dolphins.
