From car service to wedding service

A BEAMING bride has recalled how true love blossomed with the man of her dreams – in a garage.

Stacey Tucker reckons it's the best money she's ever spent after taking her ageing car into Brian's Garage in Hartlepool to be fixed.

That's where she met future husband Rob Jensen. By chance, his car was in for repairs as well.

Over the following weeks, Stacey's car needed more repairs and Rob was there for a chat when she returned to the same garage.

Romance was soon in the air and the pair walked down the aisle just six years after that chance first get-together.

Stacey, 30, a development assistant for Housing Hartlepool, said: "It was worth having my little Metro just for that reason."

Best man for their big day was Brian Wallace, the garage owner who is also a friend of Rob, 35, who works as a supervisor for Pickering Lifts in Stockton.

Stacey recalled: "Rob just seemed to be there and I also saw him in the town centre.

"We were friends at first and it went from there."

Four years of courtship followed before Rob popped the question in the beautiful Trudos Mountains in Cyprus in 2006.

Stacey said yes and the wedding took around eight months to organise. "I had a lot of help from my mum," said the bride.

The couple married on June 15, last year. The ceremony and reception were held at Langley Castle, in Hexham, in Northumberland.

Chief bridesmaid on the day was Vicky Tucker and she was joined by bridesmaids Amy Tucker, Lauren Tucker, Lucy Tucker and Anna Gorman.

The best man was Brian Wallace who was accompanied by page boy Daniel Gorman (or the 'Next Best Man' as he was known) while the ushers Dale and Lewis Tucker.

Stacey said: "The best thing about the day was my dad walking me down the aisle to the music he always sings by Bryan Adams which is Everything I do, I do it for you.

"The nerves slowly went away as I met Rob to say our vows."

The couple left the ceremony to the Barry White hit You're the First, the Last, My Everything.

They had the first dance at their wedding reception to Amazed by Lonestar.

After the wedding the newlyweds jetted off to Mexico for two weeks.
