We are now just weeks away from Santa Claus taking that all-important sleigh ride through Sunderland on Christmas Eve.

But as he prepares for the festive season by packing up the presents and his sleigh and making sure the reindeer are well fed, we’ve taken a closer look at some of the places from Sunderland’s past that were always on his must-visit list in the run-up to December 25.
