Lessons to be learnt

IN EVERY crisis there are lessons to be learnt.
The most vital is that people have always been political dupes until they learn to see the sectional interests that lurk behind the rhetoric and chicanery of leaders.
The Labour movement crawls along at a snail's pace because of lack of theory.
The organised working people, namely the trades unions, are reticent to use their enormous power on behalf of the welfare of the nation as a whole.
Bailing out failed banks and financial institutions is clearly not the solution to the present economic crisis.
Public ownership of the commanding heights of the economy is - especially the banks to see where billions of taxpayers' money is going.
This strategy will not affect the ordinary savers one iota but, as proven, will benefit the whole nation.
The long-term solution to the whole crisis is socialism but only the future will tell.
