REFERRING to Jimbo's letter, Asbestos is no danger to anyone (Mail, September 16), tell this to the "family and friends".
My friends have died through asbestos. I myself suffer with mesothelioma caused by working alongside people working with asbestos.

I had my operation eight years ago and was told that there was no treatment for my condition and told I had two years to live.

I would hate this to happen to my grandchildren.

I wonder what Jimbo would do if he had this condition. Wouldn't he worry about the children growing up in this area? I wonder.

R Beddow,
Richard Court,
Hartlepool.
