A POLICE probe into allegations of misuse of computers at a school is still continuing.
An investigation was launched in January into allegations that two teachers from High Tunstall College of Science, in Elwick Road, Hartlepool, had misused school computers.

Two teachers from the school were questioned by police on the allegations
and were suspended by the school.

One of the teachers, 34-year-old Michael Hall, was discovered dead in his Sunderland home days after being quizzed and bailed by police.
Northumbria Police officers were called to Beatrice House, Royal Court, on the outskirts of Sunderland city centre, where Mr Hall's body was discovered in a bathroom.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the nearby Sunderland Royal Hospital. The other teacher being investigated, a man in his late 20s who has not been named, remains on police bail. A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said the investigation is ongoing.

An inquest into the death of Mr Hall, which Northumbria Police said at the time was not suspicious, will only resume when police have concluded their investigations.

Shortly after Mr Hall's death, staff at the school paid tribute to the former English teacher, who had been at the school for only five months. Headteacher Mirjam Buhler-Willey said: "Everyone at High Tunstall is deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden death of Michael Hall. Michael was a committed English teacher."
